About the event
Africa faces the highest population growth rate in the world. By 2100, the population is expected to triple in size. Coupled with the effects of climate change, this will add exponential pressure on the remaining healthy ecosystems on the continent.
Join us for a fireside chat between Vega Hall-Martin Embree (African Parks) & John Adendorff (Majete Wildlife Reserve) as they discuss the tension between conservation and community, what to prioritise, and how to coexist by looking at the successful example of Majete in Malawi.
In conversation with:
John Adendorff — Park Manager of Majete Wildlife Reserve
Vega Hall-Martin Embree — Director of Asia Pacific for African Parks
No charge.
